Challengers Match back on track!

It seems as if sanity has prevailed and that the challengers match between Gata Kamsky and Veselin Topalov is back on track.

All parties reached the agreement during extensive negotiations held on the first official rest day at the Dresden Olympiad.

The match will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria from the 16th to the 28th February 2009 with a prize fund of $ 250 000 which will be shared equally by both players.

The big breakthrough could have been due to the fact that Gata Kamsky announced that Mr Chernenko is no longer his Representative and that he has appointed Emil Sutovsky as his Official Representative in all negotiations and as chief of his delegation and spokesperson for the team.

Emil Sutovsky has previously acted as Gata's second and attended yesterdays meetings.
